Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Java/Spring Boot Engineer to join our Automotive Software Development team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on building scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, with opportunities to contribute to Android app development when needed.

You'll design RESTful APIs, work across Android, QA, DevOps, and product teams, and participate in CI/CD and Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality automotive software for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development using Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and backend service development.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud-native development practices.
• Understanding of Android application architecture and Android development concepts.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to Android development tasks when needed.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.
