Job summary

GoKardz Technologies in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Spring Boot Developer to join the team on a contract basis. Your responsibilities will include coding business applications, ensuring compliance with development standards, and mentoring junior developers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, at least 4 years of experience, and strong skills in Spring Boot, Agile methodologies, and team leadership.

Job Title

Senior Spring Boot Developer

Level / Grade: Contract

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely documentation of technical design and specifications in accordance with the business specifications and project standards.
• Ensure timely completion of business application coding with project schedule.
• Compliance of frontline development functions to System Development Guideline and Standards.
• Quality of frontline systems developed and implemented in fulfilling system specifications and user requirements.
• Constant communication with team members/users/vendors.
• Keeping up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment.
• Monitor and guide junior developer’s deliverables and quality.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field and ability to guide and review the codes of the junior developer for Senior position.
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills as well as detail oriented.
• Good in verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritizing in managing workloads and to meet deadlines.
• Familiar with and/or have experience with Agile development under the SCRUM methodology.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in leading a team with Angular/Springboot developers is an added advantage.
• Experience in Insurance Industry is an added advantage.

Technical Skillset

• Strong Programming Skills: Spring Boot (mandatory), Spring, Java EE.
• Good experience in Oracle 11g or DB2 version 10 and above Database for PL/SQL and Store Procedure.
• Experience in designing security between the application integration (not using 3rd party software).
• Experience in JBoss server and Tomcat server environment, including troubleshooting the servers.
• Good Knowledge in JSON, RESTful API, Web Services.
• Experience in Microservices Architecture design.
• Experience in developing enterprise high-volume transactional application which shares codes across multiple platforms with cross-browser compatibility, involved end-to-end system integration is an added advantage.
• Experience in Maven, CLI Build scripts is an added advantage.
• Experience in DevOps tools like Jira, Jenkins is an added advantage.
• Experience in backend such that Java and Oracle database is an added advantage.
