Job summary

Hytech, a leading management consulting firm with offices in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, seeks an experienced Java Developer in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications, lead the full development lifecycle, and collaborate with product teams to implement new features.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate and cloud/container experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java core technologies and frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate).
• Strong understanding of OO design, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure system stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
