Job summary

American Air Filter Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a senior IT professional to oversee cybersecurity planning and IT operations across Asia. You will drive incident response, governance, and multi-site coordination, ensuring robust data and system integrity.

The role requires 5+ years in IT/cybersecurity, a relevant bachelor's degree, and hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, AD, virtualization, and networking. Collaborative work with HQ Japan and external partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Networking or related field is required.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA or equivalent are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in IT/cybersecurity roles.
• Experience handling multiple projects including planning and execution.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, firewall configuration and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations across Malaysia and Asia sites.
• Ensure availability of network, internet connectivity, VMware servers and overall IT infrastructure.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot complex IT issues.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and incident response.
• Coordinate IT projects across Asia.
• Manage IT vendors, service providers, and monitor SLA performance.
• Lead and mentor the IT team across Asia.
• Collaborate with IT Manager, HQ Japan, external consultants, and internal stakeholders on cybersecurity governance, assessments, and implementation projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of cybersecurity activities across Asia sites. Also, the candidate is directed to analyse and breakdown complex problems into impactful solutions, ensuring data and system integrity.

A day in the life of...

Oversee daily IT operations across Malaysia and Asia sites.

Ensure the availability of network, internet connectivity, VMWare servers and overall IT infrastructure.

Provide Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot complex IT issues.

Other assigned duties by superior / management from time to time.

What will make you successful

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in IT, Networking System, or related field.

IT certifications such as CompTIA or equivalent would be an added advantage.

At least 5 years of full-time working experience in the related field.

Knowledge in handling multiple projects including planning and execution.

Strong knowledge & hands-on experience of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Virtualization, Networking, Firewall configuration and Cybersecurity best practices.

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, decision-making and multitasking skills.

A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture.

Good troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment.
