Job summary

ams OSRAM Group is recruiting for a Global IT Defect Manager in Malaysia. You will understand business needs, deploy regular software releases, troubleshoot, and identify gaps while communicating with users.

Close collaboration with IT and external vendors, and a strong focus on defect management are essential. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor or Master in CS/IT, with 3+ years in the semiconductor industry and expertise in Linux, SQL/Oracle, Python, and machine learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, IT Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years in semiconductor industry.
• Defect Management, Automatic Defect Classification, Linux, SQL/Oracle, Python, Windows, Requirements Engineering, Machine Learning.
• Must be highly motivated to take initiative and own applications.
• Experience collaborating with colleagues abroad is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and deploy software releases regularly.
• Understand requirements, develop system modifications, test and document results.
• Handle emergency requests with dedication; propose enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT team and external vendor; document accordingly.
• Familiar with Jira and Confluence.
