Job summary

Swisslog Malaysia is seeking a highly skilled Solution Designer with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years of industrial system design experience. You will translate customer requirements into design parameters, develop viable solutions, and prepare tender descriptions and presentations for client workshops.

The role involves RFQ coordination, subsystem design proposals, and technical support to the Sales Manager during sales and tender

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering is required.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills are essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CAD tools is expected.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and review customer requirements.
• Collect customer project data and analyze received data.
• Define design parameters based on data analysis.
• Develop possible solutions from defined requirements.
• Design and propose subsystems based on performance calculations.
• Prepare and present proposals to customers in workshops or meetings.
• Request supplier quotations for subsystems and manage RFQ process.
• Analyze supplier subsystems and scope of supply.
• Prepare technical and functional descriptions for tenders.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for tender interviews and clarifications.
• Support Sales Manager technically during sales and tender phases.
• Carry out detailed engineering for the chosen system during the detailed specification phase.
