Job summary

Eastern Decorator Sdn Bhd, a leader in design and home fashion products, seeks an experienced Interior Design Manager to lead retail, consignment, renovation and fit-out projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will direct design concepts, supervise the team, and ensure delivery quality and brand alignment.

The role requires a degree in Interior Design or Architecture and at least 8 years of experience, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3D Max.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in interior design or retail fit-out projects.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Develop design concepts, space planning, layouts, and visual presentations.
• Ensure all design outputs are aligned with brand standards and business objectives.
• Review and approve drawings, 3D perspectives, and material selections.
• Manage retail renovation, consignment, and fit-out project requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee site progress and ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
• Resolve design and technical issues during project execution.
• Lead, guide, and supervise the design team to ensure timely task completion.
• Prepare and present design proposals to management when required.
