Job summary

HYRED in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Technical Product Designer with deep expertise in product design and development. You will lead design proposals from inception through completion, study form and function, and produce functional prototypes.

You will create hyper-realistic 3D renderings for client presentations, oversee 3D development for manufacturing, contribute to portfolio-wide innovation, and adapt across client portfolios to advance career growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Design or Product Design.
• Minimum 3–4 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience in 3D development with Rhino and KeyShot advantageous.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skills.
• Proficient in English and able to work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Senior Technical Product Designer brings a wealth of specialized expertise and extensive experience to the domain of product design and development. With a focus on specific client portfolios or processes aligned with the job roles and expertise, active involvement in design proposals, product development, and realization is a key responsibility.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Take charge and execute multiple projects in design proposals from inception through completion.
• Play a pivotal role in product design and development, studying form and functionality through physical mockups, and producing functional prototypes.
• Provide compelling 3D renderings for presentations, creating hyper-realistic visualizations.
• Assume responsibility for the 3D development processes essential for manufacturing purposes.
• Contribute to product selection, evaluation, measurement, and testing procedures.
• Offer full support to both design proposal and technical design teams as needed.
• Infuse innovation into product ideas, concepts, and mechanics, constantly seeking new solutions and implementing improvement plans.
• Work across various client portfolios as part of career progression, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
• Lead individual projects within expertise, managing them to completion with or without superior supervision.
• Provide reliable support to team leads or art directors in daily operations and tasks.
• Maintain excellent individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) under the creative divisional KPI setting.

Skills, Experience & Qualification:

• Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a related field or expertise in a specific industry and process.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in 3D Development, with expertise in Rhinoceros & KeyShot considered advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in English.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a strong willingness to learn.
