Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Buyer, SCM - AMM to lead the buyer team and drive continuous process improvements. You will monitor KPIs and act as team lead in the manager's absence to ensure smooth operations and timely decisions.

The role requires strong teamwork, effective communication across all levels, and a manufacturing background. Proficiency in English and proactive negotiation skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English.
• Proactive problem solving, follow up and negotiation skills.
• Manufacturing background is an added value.
• Knowledge in simple macros is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and reliability.
• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply to support production requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent performance and continuous improvement.
• Resolve supply issues including delivery delays, shortages, and quality concerns in collaboration with internal teams.
• Work closely with planning, production, engineering, and quality departments to align material requirements and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
• Act as key escalation channel to the Purchasing manager.
• Proactively take on additional responsibilities to support organizational goals.
