Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh is seeking a Staff Nurse/Senior Staff Nurse for ICU/HDU, with hands-on care for mechanically ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative cardiac and neuro surgery cases.

The role requires Diploma/Degree in Nursing, active APC, BLS/ACLS, and at least 3 years in acute/critical care; you will perform intubation and central line insertions and work under pressure to manage emergencies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and hold a valid APC.
• Post basic in intensive care nursing or critical care nursing is an added advantage.
• Possess valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in acute or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU/HDU patients on mechanical ventilation and inotropes.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and basic ECG/ABG interpretation.
• Involve in intubation and central line insertion when required.
• Provide post operative care for cardiac and neuro surgery patients.
• Manage emergencies with strong situational awareness and teamwork.
