Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to install, service, maintain and troubleshoot HVAC and air-conditioning systems in the KL area. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient operation with preventive and corrective maintenance.

You will perform commissioning support, electrical/mechanical checks, and liaise with supervisors and customers. Candidates should have 3–4 years in HVAC, strong diagnostic skills, and flexibility to travel within

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant working experience in HVAC.
• Hands-on knowledge of WCPU, AHU, cooling towers, split-unit systems, air- and water-cooled chillers.
• Experience in HVAC servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose faults.
• Able to work independently and in a technical team.
• Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Valid Class D or GDL driving licence is an advantage.
• Willing to travel within KL/Selangor area for service calls.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and fix HVAC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine checks.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
• Attend to breakdowns and emergency service requests.

About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to support the installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and air-conditioning systems. The role will be responsible for ensuring HVAC equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently, while responding to technical issues and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair of HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
• Carry out inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of HVAC equipment and systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot WCPU, AHU, cooling towers, split units, air-cooled chillers, and water-cooled chillers.
• Identify technical faults and carry out appropriate corrective actions to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
• Conduct routine checks and ensure HVAC systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Assist with commissioning, start-up, and testing of HVAC equipment where required.
• Perform basic electrical and mechanical checks related to HVAC systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, equipment conditions, and parts used.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, customers, and other technical teams to resolve HVAC-related issues.
• Ensure all maintenance and servicing activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.
• Attend to breakdowns and emergency service requests when necessary.
• Carry out any other technical or maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor/management.

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant working experience in the HVAC industry.
• Good hands-on knowledge of:
  • WCPU
  • AHU
  • Cooling towers
  • Split-unit air-conditioning systems
  • Air-cooled chillers
  • Water-cooled chillers
• Experience in HVAC servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting is essential.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose HVAC faults.
• Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Possess a valid Class D or GDL driving licence will be an advantage.
• Willing to travel within the KL/Selangor area and attend service or breakdown calls when required.
• Safety-conscious, responsible, and willing to work in a hands-on technical environment.
