Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks an experienced finance professional to manage the APAC & ME region accounting, IFRS compliance, and month-end close across multiple entities. You will partner with local businesses and IT teams on migration and process optimization.

The role requires strong SAP S4 HANA experience, construction contracts accounting, forex, provisions, and cross-functional collaboration in a multicultural environment. Hybrid work—4 days WFH, 1 day in office—is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance required.
• 5 years of working experience with Big 4 or multinational clients preferred.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and local GAAP understanding.
• Ability to collaborate across cultures and functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting topics for APAC & ME with hands-on full set of accounts.
• Provide IFRS guidance and close/reporting tasks.
• Oversee monthly closing activities and audits (internal/external).
• Act as SME for complex accounting issues and tax matters.

Job description

Regions: Asia Pacific (APAC) | Middle East (ME)

Hybrid Work Arrangement: 4 Days WFH | 1 Day WIO

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for accounting topics for the APAC & ME with strong hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts.

Aid the regional and country accountants regarding IFRS topics (i.e., accounting advisory to the business, closing and reporting tasks, disclosure requirements).

Carry out tasks and oversee monthly closing activities.

Coordinate and support audit activities (internal and external).

Be a Topic Matter Expert for complex accounting topics.

Be a strong partner to the local businesses within the APAC & ME region and support them in selected tasks.

Perform financial statement reviews and follow-up on action items because of the reviews.

Having additional experience in handling indirect and corporation tax matters would be appreciated.

Take over the project management role for IT-migration, digitalization and process optimization initiatives.

Support ad-hoc requirements/tasks.

Key Requirements:

Possesses a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance with 5 years of working experience. Experience in Big 4, multinational corporation clients or direct multinational corporation is an added advantage.

Be well versed with local GAAP and IFRS and the application of the standards in practice.

Ability to collaborate successfully in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.

Expert knowledge and experience in accounting for construction contracts, forex accounting, provisions and accrual.

Deep knowledge of SAP/SAP S4 HANA (especially finance modules) and value flows, preferably someone, who has worked in implementation or migration projects.
