Job summary

Hitachi Energy Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced HSE & Sustainability Professional to join our Service organization in Malaysia.

You will partner with business leaders and employees to drive a strong HSE culture and ensure compliance with local regulations and Hitachi Energy requirements. The role focuses on incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and the advancement of sustainability objectives across the organization, including delivering training and supporting project

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment roles.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Experience supporting operational and project teams implementing HSE programs.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret HSE data and drive improvements.
• Proficient with HSE systems and digital reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote and strengthen a proactive HSE culture.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation and corporate HSE standards.
• Analyze HSE performance data and identify trends for improvement.
• Facilitate risk assessments and implement risk controls.
• Deliver HSE training and safety campaigns.
• Support project and service teams in applying HSE requirements.
• Drive HSE programs to meet business objectives.
• Ensure HSE tools and resources are available.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to share best practices.
• Build relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, contractors.
