Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott Kota Kinabalu is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for the property, with emphasis on safety, security and asset protection. You will manage budgets, capital projects and preventive maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance and energy efficiency.

Lead the emergency response team, supervise engineering staff, and coordinate with other departments to maintain guest comfort and property standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing technical training is stated as a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Maintains and operates equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.

Education

High school diploma or GED

2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
