Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Security Manager to assist the Director of Security in daily operations. You will help protect hotel assets, guests, and staff, manage emergency procedures, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.

You will also maintain documentation and coordinate with management on security planning. Responsibilities include deploying security staff, handling incidents, and leading security teams to maintain a safe guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 1 year experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing emergency procedures and conduct investigations of losses. Deploy security staff to protect property assets. Maintain logs, certifications, and required reports.
• Lead security teams, communicate safety procedures, and provide guidance to subordinates. Recognize and respond to risks, coordinate with local authorities, and ensure compliance with SOPs.

Education
