Job summary

Ormond Group is seeking a senior design and architecture professional in Malaysia to lead interior design management for new constructions, conversions, or adaptive reuse across Ormond Hotels, F&B and Education portfolios.

You will oversee end-to-end design and construction, coordinate with consultants, manage budgets and schedules, and inspire teams to create design solutions that align with brand strategy and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, civil engineering, interior design, or related field with 8–10 years’ experience.
• Strong civil/architectural background with end-to-end project oversight.
• Proven ability to manage consultants and contractors within budget and schedule.
• Proficient in CAD drawings and able to communicate design intent clearly.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project-management software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide design studies, sketches, and imagination aligned with budgets.
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure drawings meet required standards.
• Coordinate reviews with disciplines; include site progress and sub-contractor performance.
• Maintain project data, records, and milestones in a database.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and FF&E BOMs to support procurement.
• Manage time allocation on projects per budgets, deadlines, directions.
• Report to Director of Design, Construction and Technical Services.
