Job summary

The Precious Seed Management Sdn. Bhd. (Just Pets Megastore) in Puchong New Village is seeking an experienced pet groomer to provide professional grooming for dogs and cats. You will assess coat and skin condition, perform bathing, trimming, nail clipping, and other basic grooming services.

We value independence, patience, and strong customer service as you interact with pet owners in a fast-paced shop environment; relevant grooming certificates are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in pet grooming.
• Good knowledge and practical skills in dog and/or cat grooming.
• Able to perform basic breed-specific grooming and styling.
• Comfortable handling different types of pets and temperaments.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Responsible, patient and attentive towards animal welfare.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant grooming certificates or training will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services for dogs and cats, including bathing, drying, brushing, hair trimming, styling, nail clipping, ear cleaning and other basic grooming services.
• Assess each pet's coat condition, skin condition and grooming requirements before starting the grooming session.
• Handle pets safely and patiently, especially pets that are nervous, aggressive or difficult to handle.
• Recommend suitable grooming styles and services based on the pet's breed, coat condition and owner's requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards in the grooming area.
• Monitor pets during the grooming process and immediately report any unusual behaviour, injury or health concerns.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding grooming services, pet condition and after-grooming care.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints related to grooming services in a professional manner.
• Assist with grooming appointments, daily workflow and coordination within the grooming team.
• Ensure proper care and handling of grooming tools, equipment and company property.
• Perform other duties related to pet grooming and daily operations as assigned by the management.
