Job summary

Ambu's Global R&D organization seeks a Senior Manager, NPI Process Engineering & Automation to lead development, industrialization, and deployment of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation solutions for new product introductions. You will head a multidisciplinary team across Process, Automation, and Equipment Engineers to ensure scalable, validated processes ready for global transfer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in R&D, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, automation, or NPI.
• 5-10 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience industrializing complex medical devices, electronics, electromechanical products, or high‑volume regulated products.
• Proven track record leading automation and equipment development projects.
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Electronics, or similar industries.
• Experience working with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, industrialization, and deployment of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation solutions for new products.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of Process, Automation, and Equipment Engineers.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks early in product development.
• Oversee specification, development, qualification, and deployment of manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
• Support validation activities including process validation and equipment qualification.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards and documentation.
