Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Fund Manager to lead the oversight of investment portfolios in line with client mandates and approved objectives.

You will conduct fundamental research, identify opportunities, supervise analysts, and prepare reports for management and clients, with a strong emphasis on risk management and disciplined decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in fund management, asset management, portfolio management, equity research, or a related investment role
• Possession of a valid CMSRL for Fund Management in relation to Portfolio Management, or eligibility to obtain the relevant CMSRL
• Proven track record in managing investment portfolios and making sound investment decisions
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, fundamental analysis, valuation methodologies, and portfolio risk management
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, leadership, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee investment portfolios in accordance with approved investment objectives, strategies, and client mandates
• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis of companies, industries, financial markets, and economic trends to identify investment opportunities
• Generate and evaluate investment ideas and formulate recommendations on portfolio allocation, security selection, and investment decisions
• Monitor portfolio performance, market conditions, and investment risks, and take appropriate action where necessary
• Prepare periodic investment reports and investment presentations for management and clients
• Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks to investment analysts and junior members of the investment team, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of work
