Job summary

Jabil in Penang (Bayan Lepas) seeks a Senior Web Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex software solutions with a hands-on, full stack focus. You will lead technical implementation, mentor junior developers, and translate customer requirements into scalable applications.

The role covers frontend and backend work using Mendix, Angular, C#, and .NET Core 8, with REST APIs, messaging, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6-8 years of software development or related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation of software solutions and contribute to architecture design.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate developers.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and functional applications.
• Develop software programs that include formatted output and basic reporting functionality.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain high-performance applications using modern programming frameworks.
• Collaborate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans and deployment instructions.
• Participate in system integration, user acceptance testing, and production rollout.
• Manage and resolve escalated issues related to software systems.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement in code quality, system performance, and team practices.
• Facilitate the growth of technical competency across the development team.
• Contribute to global knowledge sharing across Jabil facilities while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support Agile development practices through sprint planning, review, and retrospective sessions.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and support training initiatives as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
