Ambition in Penang is seeking a versatile Full-Stack Software Engineer to join their IT team on site. The role covers designing and delivering responsive, scalable web apps and RESTful APIs within an agile environment.

You will collaborate with tech leads, UX designers, vendors, and offshore teams to drive system evolution and ensure quality. Mandarin proficiency is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in web-based software development.
• Hands-on with .NET, C#, or .NET Core.
• Proficiency with Angular Material, Web API, LINQ, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building responsive, full-stack web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Partnering with tech leads, UI/UX designers, vendors, and offshore teams to drive evolution.
• Providing bug fixes, enhancements, and support for day-to-day operations.
• Working within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver high-quality software.
• Producing technical documentation, release notes, and user guides.

The Role

Here's what you'll be working on:

• Designing and building responsive, full-stack web applications and RESTful APIs
• Partnering with tech leads, UX designers, vendors, and offshore teams to drive system evolution and quality
• Providing technical support, bug fixes, and enhancements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Working within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver high-quality software
• Producing clear technical documentation, release notes, and user guides in line with ISO standards

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you bring:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in web-based software development
• Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, or .NET Core (Node.js is a plus)
• Proficiency with Angular Material, Web API, LINQ, and Bootstrap
• Database experience across Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is required for this role
