Job summary

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is seeking a Senior Executive, Financial Planning in Malaysia. This role assists the Malaysia Director of Finance in managing all finance and accounting operations, budgeting, forecasts and monthly statements.

You will report to the Director of Finance in Malaysia, develop reports, dashboards, and analyze variances to drive improvements. Strong Excel, Access and SQL skills are required, with 3–4+ years in financial reporting in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 3–4+ years of financial/statutory reporting, tax, and internal controls in a multinational company.
• Food service or retail knowledge a plus.
• Strong Excel, Access and SQL skills preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, report, and track financial performance and metrics.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance reports.
• Create standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Conduct reviews and analyses of processes using metrics.
• Assess financial and operational impact of policy changes.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct market research, data mining, BI, and valuation comps.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing information and trends.
• Support projects with milestones, budget, and resources.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for ongoing issues.
• Assist with capital budgeting and expenditure planning.
