Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks an experienced Formulation R&D professional to join its growing technical team. This hands‑on role requires strong pharmaceutical product development experience, ownership of projects, and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.

You will manage development through scale‑up, plan trials, troubleshoot challenges, and support manufacturing transfers while preparing technical documentation and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience in formulation and product development.
• Experience with oral solid dosage forms such as tablets and/or capsules is essential.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical development processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage formulation and product development activities from development through scale‑up and commercialisation.
• Plan and execute development trials and optimisation activities.
• Evaluate technical results and recommend appropriate development actions.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process‑related challenges throughout different stages of product development.
• Support scale‑up and transfer of products into manufacturing.
• Prepare and review relevant technical and development documentation.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure key development milestones are achieved.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and other technical functions.
• Provide technical input and support during manufacturing or production‑related challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the technical team.
