Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to join the regulatory reporting team. You will prepare financial and regulatory reports, support BNM submissions, and ensure IFRS/MFRS compliance.

You will work with auditors and regulators and contribute to data analysis and process improvements. The candidate should have accounting qualifications (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA) or related degree, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and good writing.

Qualifications

• Degree / Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA) or finance/economics
• Strong communication, analytical & writing and problem‑solving skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge and experience with SQL, QlikView, Python, Power BI, Power Query, SmartView, Oracle Fusion is a plus
• Self‑starter with positive attitude, able to work independently
• Team player, able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial and regulatory reports to Group and to BNM and other regulatory authorities within stipulated timeline
• Prepare quarterly information related to derivatives and commitments for BNM
• Ensure IFRS & MFRS compliance and regulatory reporting
• Perform financial control activities including reconciliations and GL mapping
• Liaise with external and internal auditors and regulators
• Assist in stakeholder queries relating to derivatives and trade products
• Participate in strategic data analysis and market trend reporting for senior management
• Support project initiatives, UAT testing and process improvements
