Job summary

OCBC Malaysia seeks a qualified finance professional to lead the team responsible for financial and regulatory reporting to Group and regulators. The role requires deep IFRS/MFRS knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with external banks, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

You will support the New Product Approval Process, advise on accounting implications, and drive data-driven insights from financial reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree / Professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA) / finance / economics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in preparation of financial and regulatory reports to Group, BNM, PIDM and other regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS & MFRS), policies and regulatory guidelines and assist Unit Head to implement changes in accounting standards.
• Liaise with external bankers, business units and regulators on clarifications and to provide additional information as required.
• Assist Unit Head in the New Product Approval Process and provide accounting and regulatory advisory in relation to transactions and products.
• Prepare and present results of strategic data analyses and researches from financial reports and market trends to senior management.
• Identify, streamline and automate processes for improvements.
