Qualifications

• University graduate in accounting and finance or member of a recognized professional body.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and group consolidation.
• Audit experience is a definite advantage.
• Analytical with good data presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP or CODA experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete management accounts, group consolidation, and statutory financial statements.
• Oversee group and entity external audits and liaise with external auditors on impairment assessment, accounting review, and internal controls.
• Prepare tax computations and estimates, review corporate tax returns, and respond to queries including transfer pricing compliance.
• Prepare group and entity level budgets and forecasts with variance analysis.
• Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in working capital management, fund management, payments, and insurance renewals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for accounting procedures and operations.
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis and liaise with internal and external parties on financial queries.

We are a conglomerate with local and global investments seeking a Financial Reporting Senior Executive to join our in-house team. The role involves compliance and analytical reporting, including the timely and accurate preparation and completion of management accounts, group consolidation, statutory financial statements, and various management reports for both internal and external purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and complete management accounts, group consolidation, and statutory financial statements
• Oversee group and entity external audits annually and liaise with external auditors on impairment assessment, accounting treatment review, and internal controls
• Prepare tax computations and tax estimates, review corporate tax returns, and respond to queries on corporate tax matters including transfer pricing compliance
• Prepare group and entity level budgets and forecasts with variance analysis
• Liaise with internal and external parties including company secretary, treasurer, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in operational matters such as maintenance of working capital, fund management, payments, and insurance renewals
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for accounting procedures and operational matters
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments, analysis reporting, and liaise with internal and external parties on financial queries

About you

• University graduate in accounting and finance and/or member of a recognized professional body such as MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and group consolidation
• Audit experience is a definite advantage
• Analytical with good data presentation skills
