Ferring Malaysia is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead month-end and year-end close across Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. You will own the closing calendar, supervise accounting for multiple entities, and ensure IFRS compliance and accurate statutory reporting.
In this senior partner role you will advise the General Manager with performance analyses, coordinate with Genpact and shared services, and maintain a robust control environment with audit readiness and tax compliance.
Job Description: Your day at Ferring Close and year-end continuity (priority) Coordinate and secure the November 2026 month-end close and the December 2026 year-end close for Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Ensure that journal entries, accruals and provisions, analytical review, sub-ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and settlements, general-ledger period close, fixed-asset accounting, inventory accounting (stock take, transfer pricing, cost accounting), tax accounting and payroll accounting are completed accurately and on time. Submit the Group reporting packages on schedule. For the year-end, prepare the audit file, respond to auditor queries, deliver the statutory accounts and tax computations with the external advisers and maintain the internal-control evidence.
Advise and challenge the General Manager with timely analyses of performance, variances against plan, financial impacts and risks. Produce the management information required by the GM and SEA Finance and monitor the key ratios. Maintain the P&L and cash-flow forecasts, including the Q4 forecast and landing and the FY27 budget inputs as required. Give early warning of unexpected issues and propose corrective actions.
Directly supervise, review and approve the accounting work for MY, SG and PH: journals, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, expense claims and payments. Approve purchase requests, payments and expense reimbursements within delegated authority. Manage customer credit exposure and credit-hold releases. Prepare cash-flow projections and follow up collections to the targeted DSO. Handle treasury matters (in-house bank accounts, bank relations, FX master data, fraud and dispute cases) in line with Group Treasury guidelines. Act as the senior local interface with Genpact and shared Finance across A2R, P2P and O2C. Chase deliverables, resolve issues, and review and approve the BPO outputs. Ensure the quality and timeliness of the services delivered to the three entities and collaborate with the service delivery managers and the global process owners.
Ensure the strict implementation of IFRS, Group guidelines and the internal control system. Secure adherence to the local fiscal and finance regulations of Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines and to the double-signature and financial-commitment rules. Identify and mitigate risks, and elevate material risks immediately to the GM, SEA Finance and the Area Controller. Act as back-up local document responsible person for Malaysia (SOP distribution and filing) if required.
Before the Senior Finance Manager leaves, document the critical processes, deadlines, contacts, recurring issues, controls and undocumented dependencies for each entity, so that no knowledge is lost during the bridge period. Transition to the permanent Senior Accountant Once the Senior Accountant joins, organise a structured onboarding and transfer the ownership of the recurring accounting and reporting tasks progressively. Review the first closes performed by the new hire and close any remaining knowledge gaps.
Identify gaps and single-person dependencies, and document and simplify processes where needed. Support Group and SEA finance programmes locally. Help the GM and SEA Finance define what genuinely needs to stay local and what can move to SEA or shared services after the bridge.
