Job summary

The Edge Partnership in Malaysia seeks a senior finance professional to own reporting, consolidation and budgeting for a growing manufacturing business. You will lead the monthly close, manage group consolidation across entities, and coordinate Bursa Malaysia disclosures with senior leadership.

You will also drive FP&A, strengthen controls and partner with external auditors while developing a high-performing finance team across Klang Valley or Penang. Mandarin speakers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of the following: consolidation across multiple entities (multi-currency a plus).
• Bursa Malaysia reporting experience with a public listed company.
• Candidates with both consolidation and Bursa reporting experience are preferred.
• Big 4 audit background is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, delivering accurate reporting.
• Own group consolidation across entities, prepare quarterly results and Bursa announcements.
• Prepare management reporting packs, board papers and variance analysis for leadership insights.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and FP&A cycles.
• Strengthen internal controls, closing discipline and finance processes, including system improvements.
• Act as main contact for external auditors, tax agents and other third parties.
• Lead and develop finance team, collaborating with business stakeholders.

Job description

We are working on two senior finance openings with established manufacturing businesses in Malaysia, one in the Klang Valley and one starting in Penang before moving to Kuala Lumpur. Both roles suit a technically strong finance professional who is ready to own reporting, work closely with senior leadership, and play a key part in a growing finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, delivering accurate and timely reporting.
• Own group consolidation across multiple entities, and/or prepare quarterly results and Bursa Malaysia announcements.
• Prepare management reporting packs, board papers and variance analysis that give leadership actionable insights.
• Drive the budgeting, forecasting and FP&A cycles.
• Strengthen internal controls, closing discipline and finance processes, including system and automation improvements.
• Act as the main contact for external auditors, tax agents and other third parties.
• Lead and develop finance team members and work closely with business stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including senior roles in group finance or financial reporting.
• Must have at least one of the following:
• Hands-on group consolidation experience across multiple entities (multi-currency experience is a plus)
• Bursa Malaysia reporting experience with a public listed company
• Candidates with both consolidation and Bursa reporting experience are strongly preferred.
• A Big 4 audit background is an advantage.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
