Job summary

GlobalTix is seeking a Senior Finance Executive – General Ledger to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will manage the full General Ledger across multiple entities and lead month-end and year-end closings to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities include tax compliance coordination, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory oversight, and active collaboration with AP/AR teams. Hybrid work arrangement offered in a dynamic SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years in GL management and month-end close; SaaS/tech exp favored.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial compliance.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Detail-oriented team player able to work under pressure.
• Experience with tax/regulatory compliance in SEA region.
• Big 4 background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full General Ledger for multiple entities across countries.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing; post journals, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Oversee tax compliance matters; coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory management monthly for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, management report, tax report and inventory reconciliation.
• Liaise with AP/AR to ensure accurate cut-off and reporting.
• Support and maintain finance systems/ERP; implement process improvements.
• Assist in development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

GlobalTix is a dynamic and fast-growing technology company, providing a leading e-ticketing platform for the global travel and tourism industry. Our platform supports partners across multiple markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive – General Ledger to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and support our day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full General Ledger (GL) function for multiple entities across various countries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other necessary adjustments.
• Oversee tax compliance matters, including direct and indirect tax filings, and coordinate closely with external tax advisors to ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Oversee and perform inventory management monthly, to ensure accuracy and efficiency usage.
• Preparation of monthly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow movements, management report, tax report and inventory reconciliation.
• Liaise with AP/AR teams to ensure accurate cut-off and financial reporting.
• Support and maintain finance systems/ERP, identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of working experience in general ledger management and month-end close processes; experience in a Saas or technology environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting support, and control execution.
• Detailed-oriented and strong team player with the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with tax and regulatory compliance in Thailand, Singapore or Malaysia.
• Experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 or reputable mid-sized) is highly regarded.

Knowledge Specific to the Position

• Experience in GL functions with some AP/AR knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience to multi-entity and multi-currency environments is essential.
• Must possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Background in Saas/Technology companies that deals with high-volume transactions.
• Experience with integrated ERP / finance systems (beyond standalone accounting tools).
• Able to start within short notice.
