Job summary

Genting Malaysia is seeking an early-career accountant to join the Finance team in Kuala Lumpur. The role covers monthly reporting, group-level P&L preparation, and coordination of quarterly announcements. You will support planning processes and ensure timely financial statements for GENM Group.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or professional qualifications and has at least two years of accounting experience with strong English communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related professional qualification.
• Finalist or member of a recognized accounting body.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, analyst experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Monthly Performance Review Report (MPR).
• Prepare subsidiaries' financial statements, MPR, SAF, P&L analysis, tax return filings, and tax payable estimates.
• Prepare GENM Group monthly/quarterly P&L schedules and performance slides for EXCO/Board meetings.
• Assist in finalizing GENM Group’s quarterly announcements.
• Assist with yearly profit plan coordination and monitoring.
• Coordinate and liaise with parties for group reporting needs.
• Undertake ad-hoc CPP-Reporting assignments.

JobResponsibilities:

• Preparation of Monthly Performance Review Report (“MPR”)
• Preparation of subsidiaries financial statements, which includes of preparation of MPR, quarterly Standard Accounting Forms (“SAF”), analysis of Profit or Loss, yearly tax return for submission to IRB, estimation of tax payable and statutory financial statements
• Preparation of GENM Group level and divisional monthly and quarterly profit and loss schedules, salient and performance slides for EXCO, Audit Committee and Board meeting
• Involve in the preparation and finalization of GENM Group’s quarterly announcement
• Involve in coordinate, planning and monitoring of GENM Group’s yearly profit plan exercise
• To administer, coordinate and liaise with various parties concerned for necessary actions with regards to the various reporting needs of the Group
• Any other ad-hoc assignments related to CPP-Reporting

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications.
• Finalist/Member of professional body (E.g. MIA, ICAEW, ACCA, MACPA, CPA, ICAA).
• At least 2 years of accounting experience. Analyst experience will be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Meticulous and highly organized.
• Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
