Job summary

MAA Group Berhad is seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function of our hospitality business and its subsidiaries. This senior role reports directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer and collaborates with the CEO on operational and commercial matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in multi-entity financial reporting, consolidation and audits.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian statutory and tax requirements.
• Hospitality, property management or leased-asset operations experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall finance function across the hospitality business and subsidiaries.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting per Group timelines.
• Oversee management accounts, consolidation schedules, budgets, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Strengthen controls, approvals, reconciliations and SOPs.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, bank facilities and intercompany balances.
• Coordinate audits and respond to queries within agreed timelines.
• Provide timely financial analysis and support to CEO and operations team.
• Monitor operating costs and drive cost efficiency and margins.
