Job summary

Ambu Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate and maintain building facilities systems, execute PM schedules, monitor utilities, and support energy-saving projects. The role requires a certificate or diploma in mechatronic/electronic engineering, at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with factory utilities such as compressed air systems, air conditioning, firefighting systems, etc.
• Ability to work on 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facilities systems for Ambu Sdn Bhd buildings.
• Carry out maintenance according to PM schedules and procedures.
• Monitor utilities consumption to stay within installed capacity.
• Participate in energy saving projects.
• Keep PM records accurately documented and filed.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure work meets requirements.
• Carry out plant renovation, upgrading, troubleshooting and repair activities.

Job description

To operate and maintain facilities system for all building of Ambu Sdn Bhd.

To carry out maintenance activities according to PM schedule and procedures including to perform regular check on building and facilities equipment.

To check, monitor and ensure the utilities consumption will not exceed installed capacity.

Monitor utilization/consumption of utilities such as electrical power, water, compressed air, etc. to ensure sufficient installed capacity.

Ensure building/facilities fulfil local authorities’ requirements, safety and quality system requirements.

Participate in energy saving projects.

Upkeep cleanliness in the building.

Follow up to ensure that work caries out by vendors perform according to requirements.

Carry out plant renovation, upgrading, troubleshooting and repair activities.

Ensure that PM records for facilities equipment are accurately documented and filed

Requirements:

At least Certificate/Diploma in Mechatronic/Electronic Engineering.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Familiar with factory utilities such as compressed air systems, air conditioning, firefighting system etc.

Ability to work on 12 hours rotating shifts.

Ability to communicate in English.
