Job summary

WIWYNN TECHNOLOGY SERVICE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced facilities engineer to oversee daily HVAC/ACMV operations and PM in a high-tech electronics plant. The role includes maintaining strict cleanroom parameters and supervising on-site contractors to ensure safety and KPIs.

The candidate will drive RCA and CAPA for system issues, update emergency SOPs, and provide data-driven insights from the BMS to optimize energy use and reliability. Availability for on-call support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5–8 years facilities experience in a high-tech electronics plant.
• Experience with cleanroom environments and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and PM of HVAC/ACMV systems (Chillers, CTs, AHUs, FCUs, MAUs, CRAC).
• Control cleanroom parameters (Temp, Humidity, Pressure, Particles).
• Manage on-site contractors to meet safety KPIs.
• Lead RCA and CAPA for system issues.
• Maintain emergency SOPs and conduct drills.
• Analyze BMS data and prepare dashboards.
• Lead small-to-medium facilities projects and RFQs.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, BOMBA, MPKU.

Job description

Oversee the daily operation and preventive maintenance (PM) of HVAC/ACMV systems, including Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs, MAUs, and CRAC units.

Ensure precise control of cleanroom parameters (Temperature, Humidity, Pressure Differential, and Particle Counts) to meet stringent production requirements.

Manage and supervise on-site contractors to ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and KPIs.

Act as the primary technical lead for HVAC-related emergencies (e.g., chiller trips, power failures affecting cooling).

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for system abnormalities and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to mitigate future risks.

Maintain updated emergency SOPs and conduct regular drills for the facilities team.

3. Data Analysis & Optimization

Utilize BMS (Building Management System) data to monitor system performance and trends.

Perform energy consumption analysis and identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives (e.g., Chiller plant optimization).

Prepare technical reports and monthly operational dashboards for management review.

4. Project Management & Small Works

Lead small-to-medium scale facilities improvement projects, including equipment retrofitting, ducting modifications, and capacity expansion.

Prepare technical specifications, RFQs, and evaluate vendor quotations.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., DOSH, BOMBA, MPKU).

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• * Minimum 5–8 years of facilities experience in a high-tech electronics plant (PCBA, Semiconductor, or Data Center).

Proven experience in managing high‑specification cleanroom environments (ISO standards).

Technical Skills

• * Strong knowledge of HVAC/ACMV design, psychrometrics, and fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency in reading M&E drawings and P&ID.
• Familiarity with BMS platforms (e.g., Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell).

Soft Skills

• * Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus for vendor coordination).

Availability

Must be willing to be on-call for emergency support during non-office hours.
