Job summary

Altel Communications Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Analyst, Product Management to support MES implementations and ongoing digital manufacturing solutions. You will work with customers and technical teams to gather requirements, coordinate delivery, and contribute to product roadmaps for sustainable success.

You will lead lifecycle activities, document functional specifications, maintain backlogs, and ensure timely delivery while identifying opportunities for improvements in MES and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years in product management or MES projects.
• Experience in automotive/industrial digitalization is a plus.

Job description

Senior Analyst, Product Management is responsible for supporting the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operational success of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and related digital manufacturing solutions. The role focuses on establishing and strengthening local first-line support and maintenance capabilities to provide sustainable, high-quality services for strategic customer accounts.

Working closely with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams, the incumbent will manage product implementation activities, gather and analyze business requirements, coordinate solution delivery, and support product roadmap planning to ensure successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the full lifecycle implementation of MES products, including requirements gathering, solution configuration, testing, deployment, user training, and operational support.

Analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications to support solution design and implementation.

Maintain and manage product backlogs, project timelines, requirements documentation, and implementation plans to ensure timely project delivery.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX, software development, quality assurance, and support teams, to drive product implementation and solution delivery.

Manage product testing, version control, release management, review processes, and deployment activities to ensure quality and business readiness.

Work closely with customers and business users to understand operational requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and provide effective solution recommendations.

Support the ongoing operation and maintenance of MES and related digital manufacturing solutions to ensure system stability and optimal performance.

Monitor industry developments, market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the manufacturing, automotive, and industrial sectors.

Develop and maintain annual, quarterly, and monthly product roadmaps aligned with customer requirements, business priorities, and market opportunities.

Prepare business requirement documents, solution design documents, user manuals, reports, presentations, and other project-related documentation.

Provide guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to customers and end users to support successful solution adoption.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders to support long-term business growth and customer retention.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum years of experience required to perform this job

Minimum 4 years of experience in product management, MES implementation, solution consulting, system implementation, business analysis, or software development.

Experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industry 4.0 solutions, smart manufacturing, or industrial digitalization projects is highly preferred.

Experience within the automotive or auto parts industry will be an added advantage.

Required functional competencies

Strong understanding of MES architecture, manufacturing processes, production workflows, and operational requirements.

Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution design.

Good knowledge of software implementation lifecycle and product lifecycle management.

Familiarity with databases, SQL, and system integration concepts.

Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, and change management processes.

Knowledge of UML modelling, process flow design, wireframing, and prototyping tools will be an advantage.

Strong documentation and presentation skills.
