Job summary

Sunway Malls is seeking a technically strong Senior Executive – M&E to support safe, efficient operation of the mall’s M&E systems and provide expert input for retailer renovations, AEI and upgrading projects.

You will review M&E designs, oversee daily mall operations, coordinate with retailers, consultants and contractors, and ensure works comply with drawings, standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering, building services, facilities, consultancy, project management or commercial/retail developments.
• Strong technical knowledge in Electrical or Mechanical systems; knowledge of both disciplines is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&E operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency repairs and inspections to ensure reliable building services and minimum downtime.
• Provide technical advice and support for retailer renovation, fit-out, AEI and upgrading projects from design review through to completion.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications and technical submissions, provide technical comments and ensure proposals meet mall requirements and relevant standards.
• Monitor assigned M&E projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost, safety and compliance requirements are met.
• Coordinate with retailers, consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth execution of works.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor rectification works and maintain proper records, permits, drawings and project documentation in accordance with relevant requirements.
• Support the Manager in developing annual maintenance, upgrading and asset enhancement plans to improve M&E reliability, efficiency and overall mall operations.

Senior Executive - Mechanical & Electrical

We are looking for a technically strong and hands‑on Senior Executive – M&Eto support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the mall’s M&E systems, while providing technical expertise for retailer renovations, Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEI) and upgrading projects. The role will review and advise on M&E designs and proposals, oversee daily mall’s operations and coordinate with retailers, consultants and contractors, oversee project execution and ensure works comply with approved drawings, technical standards, safety requirements and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

M&E Operations & Maintenance: Oversee M&E operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency repairs and inspections to ensure reliable building services and minimum downtime.

Retail Fit‑Out & AEI: Provide technical advice and support for retailer renovation, fit‑out, AEI and upgrading projects from design review through to completion.

Technical Drawing & Design Review: Review M&E drawings, specifications and technical submissions, provide technical comments and ensure proposals meet mall requirements and relevant standards.

Project & Site Management: Monitor assigned M&E projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost, safety and compliance requirements are met.

Job Requirement :

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E engineering, building services, facilities, consultancy, project management or commercial/retail developments.

Strong technical knowledge in Electrical or Mechanical systems, with the ability to review M&E drawings, specifications and technical proposals; knowledge of both disciplines is an advantage.

Experience in retail fit-out, renovation, AEI or commercial building projects will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of M&E, building services, safety and statutory requirements, with experience working with consultants, contractors and authorities.

Strong problem‑solving, project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and hands‑on approach.
