Job summary

Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad is seeking an entry-level actuarial associate to support the Core Modernization Project. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting requirements for rates tables and calculation logic, plus reviewing vendor specifications to ensure alignment with business needs.

The role emphasizes testing scope definition, performing system tests, and validating outputs to ensure accuracy, with close collaboration across IT, vendors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in actuarial science or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate preferred with progress in professional examinations.
• Good analytical and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial-related activities within the Core Modernization Project.
• Gather, structure and document detailed business requirements for rates tables and calculation logic.
• Review and validate requirement documents and specifications prepared by vendors.

Job description

Support actuarial-related activities within the Core Modernization Project.

Gather, structure and document detailed business requirements, particularly for rates tables and calculation logic.

Review and validate requirement documents and specifications prepared by vendors to ensure alignment with business needs.

Ensure proper documentation on the work performed and adherence to timelines set for the project.

Define testing scope, scenarios, and acceptance criteria for actuarial components within the new system.

Perform system testing, validate outputs, and review test results to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, vendors, project stakeholders) to support successful implementation.

Other tasks as required for Actuarial Pricing under the Core Modernization Project.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor / manager / Head of Department. Ensure compliance with Company and Regulatory policies and regulations.

Other duties as required by the Management.

Job Requirement
