Job summary

Magnet Group Sdn Bhd invites dynamic individuals to join its Integrated Marketing Agency as we expand our progressive team in Malaysia. The role covers comprehensive event planning from budgeting to post-event reporting, with hands-on management of venues, AV/lighting, branding, entertainment, permits and staffing.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Event Management & Hospitality, Business, Marketing or related fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with working knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud along with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written command of English and Bahasa Melayu. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferable for adhoc client servicing purposes.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in related fields.
• Possess strong analytical and organizational skills in executing desk and field works required for decisive actions and problem solving.
• In-depth knowledge of event Planning, Organizing, Leading & Controlling of internal and external elements affecting the overall event framework.
• Results & detail oriented in delivering high-quality event experiences throughout the event life cycle.
• Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals.
• Willing to work long and/or irregular hours in completing tasks and responsibilities.
• Possess own transportation and is willing to travel (outstation/overseas), as required.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive planning of event framework detailing specific deliverables throughout event phases from initial confirmation to post-event reporting.
• Detailed organization of event resources in facilitating complete management of critical timeline/scheduling of desk and field works affecting clients, vendors and/or partners.
• To lead in the preparation and execution of event deliverables such as, but not limited to; -
• Venue and facilities coordination
• Audio, visual and lighting system mobilization
• Scene setting and branding customization
• Entertainment and talent management
• Sourcing of event premiums
• Permit and licensing application
• Timely monitoring and control of event progress inclusive of, crisis management (if required) in detailing out and executing ideal remedies.
