Job summary

Texas Instruments Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to ESH regulations. The role involves leading safety committees, coordinating inspections, and driving continuous improvement across TI facilities in Malaysia.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in ESH roles, a Bachelor’s in Environmental, Safety & Health, and a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety & health or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in environmental, health, and safety roles in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Certified Safety & Health Officer or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ESH regulations, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience with inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and investigations.
• Experience developing and monitoring EHS programs and corrective actions.
• Ability to analyze issues and identify root causes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence actions.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking in fast-paced settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive culture of ESH excellence by leadership engagement.
• Lead safety committee meetings and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regs and TI requirements.
• Manage authority inspections and document per TI standards.
• Monitor safety programs for contractors and facilities (electrical safety, LOTO, confined space, height).
• Provide engineering leadership for EHS regulatory interpretations and changes.
• Lead ergo program assessment and implementation.
• Support continuous improvement of environmental, safety, and health programs.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, training, and response planning.
• Monitor ESH metrics, track actions, and prepare leadership reports.
• Support safety reviews for new processes, equipment, or changes.
