Job summary

TF-AMD Penang is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering Manager to oversee ramping of new equipment, test technologies, and plan to meet cost, productivity, and quality goals to support the equipment roadmap.

You will lead a team, train and develop staff, manage resources and budget, and drive cross-functional activities across the plant, while maintaining strong customer communication and ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Excellent oral and written skills in English.
• 8–12 years of industrial experience with 5–8 years in equipment engineering.
• Strong customer communication and project leadership capability.
• Experience with Wafer Sort and IC technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment ramp and meet equipment utilization.
• Oversee new equipment and testing technology.
• Responsible for meeting cost, productivity, quality goals and tactical plans to support equipment roadmap.
• Customer corrective actions.
• Formulate plans & lead a team to achieve section goals and objectives.
• Train, develop and retain staff.
• Plan and maximize available resources.
• Manage the budget, resources and cost of the Section to ensure cost effectiveness in all its operations.
• Lead and guide staff to achieve engineering / technical solutions as well as maintain competitiveness.
• Participate or lead in plant wide cross-functional activities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
