Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Senior Group Enterprise Architect – Insurance (Life & General) in Kuala Lumpur to define target architectures for insurance subsidiaries and distribution. You will bridge business and IT, shaping technology to be modern, compliant, resilient, and future-ready, with a strong focus on lifecycle improvements across Life, General, Bancassurance, and Health Insurance domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience with Enterprise Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience with TOGAF.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture.
• Minimum 5 years leading insurance architecture within financial services.
• Experience in insurance transformation strategies, PAS/claims modernization, or regulatory-driven change programs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Insurance current-state and target-state architecture aligned with ACORD and BIAN service domains.
• Translate insurance business capabilities (product, pricing, underwriting, policy administration, claims, distribution, customer servicing, fraud management) into architectural designs.
• Maintain architecture roadmaps, capability heat maps, and application rationalisation for the insurance domain.
• Communicate insurance architecture strategies across business and technology stakeholders.
