Job summary

BJAK Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of complex products and systems. This hands-on leadership role requires you to design systems, write and review code, solve tough engineering problems, guide other engineers and drive major initiatives from idea to production.

You will move between architecture and implementation, making strong technical decisions while staying close to the code.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering background with production systems experience.
Deep expertise in backend, frontend, APIs, databases or cloud infra.
Strong system design and architecture skills.
Hands-on coding and willingness to work on production systems.
Proven leadership on major engineering projects.
Ability to explain technical decisions clearly across teams.
Comfort with fast-moving environment and ownership from problem to production.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and execution of major products and initiatives.
Design scalable, reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and databases.
Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, reviews and debugging.
Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability.
Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability.
Review designs and code, providing clear feedback.
Own production monitoring, incidents and reliability improvements.
