Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Engineer Product Quality Management to own product quality across select families, driving improvements and ensuring adherence to customer requirements and automotive quality standards. The role spans the full lifecycle with emphasis on qualification, reliability data, and corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in Quality Management within automotive or semiconductor

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in Quality Management within the automotive, semiconductor, or power electronics industry.
• Expertise in product qualification, reliability assessment, risk management, and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, FMEA, 8D).
• Experience leading quality activities across the product lifecycle and driving continuous improvements.
• Understanding semiconductor technologies and customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English fluency; German is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own product quality responsibility for selected product families throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, automotive standards, and quality management systems.
• Define, monitor, and drive product quality objectives based on customer and application requirements.
• Evaluate qualification, reliability, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Lead quality issue management, risk assessments, task forces, and escalation activities.
• Represent Quality Management in customer interactions and quality-related discussions.
• Communicate complex technical quality matters effectively to support customer satisfaction and long-term product reliability.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in Quality Management within the automotive, semiconductor, or power electronics industry.
• Strong expertise in product qualification, reliability assessment, risk management, and automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, FMEA, and 8D.
• Proven experience managing quality-related activities across the product lifecycle, supporting development projects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor technologies and customer requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an added advantage.
