Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Engineer in Product Development to shape the future of power and electronics by merging physics with innovative design. The role blends semiconductor device knowledge with hands-on lab work to resolve issues and drive new technology releases.

As a Senior Engineer Product Development in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.

Apply semiconductor physics expertise to resolve product issues and identify improvements for future product and technology releases.
Contribute to product innovation through concept development, demonstrators, technical evaluations, and feasibility assessments.
Collaborate as a technical team member in wafer technology, package, and product development projects.
Support Product Design and Process DOEs to ensure manufacturability and optimize product performance.
Work closely with Product Marketing and Application Engineering to develop products that support business objectives.
Define and execute electrical characterization activities, evaluate results, and engage with the expert community on findings.
Support qualification, failure analysis, and troubleshooting activities through the interpretation of electrical and physical analysis results, including SEM, X-ray, and EMMI.
Support product evaluation activities for production transfer projects across manufacturing sites.
Contribute technical expertise to the knowledge community while leveraging the expert network for continuous learning and development.
Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of semiconductor devices and power switches, including silicon, SiC, and GaN device physics, with particular emphasis on Wide Band Gap (WBG) technologies.
Initial experience in the semiconductor industry through work or academic projects is an advantage.
Basic experience with power device specifications and datasheets, including a good understanding of statistical analysis.
Demonstrated technical problem-solving capability.
Laboratory experience, preferably in semiconductor device characterization, is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
