Job summary

CE Technology Berhad in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Facilities & Engineering to support our production operations. You will manage daily engineering and facilities activities, monitor plant utilities, and coordinate preventive maintenance to keep the glove manufacturing lines running smoothly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (or related field)
• 5–10 years of experience in Engineering/Facilities
• Good knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems
• Glove dipping line operation experience is an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience with preventive maintenance, CAPA and engineering documentation
• Able to manage contractors, projects and maintenance activities independently
• Good communication and leadership abilities, plus technical report-writing skills
• Experience with ISO, safety, environmental or regulatory compliance is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily Engineering & Facilities operations to ensure smooth plant operation

• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance and equipment improvement activities
• Analyze breakdowns and implement CAPA actions
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, work instructions and maintenance records
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and service vendors for maintenance projects
• Ensure activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, EHS and other departments to improve reliability and plant performance

Job description

Founded on 15 July 2002 in Taiping, Perak, CE Technology Berhad (CET) is an award‑winning and public listed cleanroom gloves manufacturer, which has made a name in the industry that it operates in for the quality of its gloves, its ability to meet stringent requirements as well as its cost efficiency and sustainable production initiatives.

The principal business of CE Technology is in the research, development, post‑processing, manufacturing and sales of cleanroom gloves. It presently serves mainly overseas customers from:-

• the high‑tech critical environment industries that manufacture high‑end microelectronic devices such as semi conductor, storage media, mobile devices, flat panel displays, micro motors, etc
• the life sciences industries such as medical devices, pharmaceutical, labtech, biotech and healthcare, etc.

The principal place of business of CE Technology is at 11528, Jalan Logam 4, Kawasan Perindustrian Kamunting Raya, 34000 Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. The main office and manufacturing plants are located on four (4) different sites within 5 minutes from one another.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Senior Engineer - Facilities & Engineering to support our production operations in Taiping, Perak.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily Engineering & Facilities operations to ensure smooth plant operation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot facility systems including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, RODI/DI system, pumps and utilities.
• Support glove dipping line equipment, process utilities and related engineering systems.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and equipment improvement activities.
• Analyze equipment breakdowns, downtime and recurring issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, SOPs, Work Instructions, checklists and engineering documentation.
• Monitor utility consumption including electricity, water, compressed air, steam/thermal oil and other plant utilities.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and service vendors for maintenance, repair and engineering projects.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification and plant improvement projects.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, EHS and other departments to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of working experience in Engineering / Facilities, preferably in glove manufacturing or similar manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing equipment, utilities and facility systems.
• Experience in glove dipping line operation and maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of preventive maintenance, CAPA and engineering documentation.
• Able to manage contractors, projects and maintenance activities independently.
• Good communication, leadership and technical report‑writing skills.
• Experience with ISO, safety, environmental or regulatory compliance will be an advantage.
