Job summary

Dr. Nik & Associates Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Civil Engineer with a background in infrastructure and water resources to design river mitigations and drainage solutions. You will prepare calculations, specifications, and tender documents while coordinating with clients and authorities.

Candidates should have 5+ years of river engineering experience, hydrology and hydraulics expertise, and proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE11/21, and ICM. On-site role based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in river engineering design including hydrology, hydraulics, and related water projects.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE11/21, ICM or similar tools.
• Hydrology and hydraulic modelling experience.
• Willingness to complete urgent assignments promptly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, specifications, scopes, proposals and tender documents.

• Conduct drainage design and urban flood assessments.
• Manage project delivery and liaise with clients.
• Supervise team members and ensure quality of work.

• Background in Infrastructure / Hydrology & Water Resources (Priority will be given to candidates with this expertise)
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, scopes of work, proposal, tender documents and other technical documents as required to meet client and project objectives
• Analysis and design of river mitigation solutions
• Drainage design and urban flood assessments
• Manage delivery of projects and clients
• Supervise work and delivery of team members
• Give presentations and attend meeting with Clients, Consultants and Authorities.
• Preparation and review of reports to clients

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in river engineering design specifically in JPS and water resource related projects. This includes the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, river engineering, irrigation, water supply, flood alleviation, urban drainage
• Experience with more than 5 years
• Familiar with modelling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE11/21, ICM, etc.
• Hydrology and hydraulic modelling experience
• Ever ready to work towards successfully completing urgent job in hand.
