Job summary

Muda Consult Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Engineer (C&S Design) to join our Shah Alam team. The role focuses on civil and structural design for water infrastructure, including hydraulic and hydrology work for various projects.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with authorities and clients, and ensure timely delivery with quality and safety compliance. Strong technical expertise and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Minimum 5 years in C&S design with focus on water infrastructure, hydraulic and hydrologic design.
• Proficient in C&S engineering design software and hydraulic/hydrologic simulation software.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute Civil & Structural (C&S) designs for high-rise, landed, government buildings and infrastructure (drainage, sewer lines, roads).
• Lead hydraulic and hydrology designs for river management, flood management, water and sewerage treatment upgrades, and flood retention ponds.
• Oversee preparation of technical drawings, hydrological/structural reports, and tender documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies, hydrological investigations, and site assessments for flood and structural projects.
• Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, clients, and contractors.
• Ensure projects progress on schedule while adhering to quality and safety standards.

JOB VACANCY: SENIOR ENGINEER (C&S DESIGN)

We are an established engineering consultancy firm seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Engineer (C&S Design) at our Shah Alam office. If you possess a strong background in water infrastructure and building structural design, we welcome your application.

Working Days & Hours

• Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 Days)
• Working Hours: 8.00 AM – 5.15 PM

Job Responsibilities

• i. To manage and execute Civil & Structural (C&S) designs for high-rise and landed buildings, government buildings, as well as infrastructure designs including drainage, sewer lines, roads, etc.
• ii. To lead and undertake hydraulic and hydrology designs in accordance with technical standards and requirements for river management, Flood Management Design, Design & Upgrade of Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants, and Flood Retention Ponds.
• iii. To oversee the preparation of technical drawings, hydrological/structural reports, and tender document
• iv. To conduct engineering feasibility studies, hydrological investigations, and site assessments for flood management and structural development projects.
• v. To liaise and coordinate effectively with local authorities, government technical agencies, clients, and contractors.
• vi. To ensure projects progress according to schedule while strictly adhering to quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• i. Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• ii. Must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• iii. A minimum of 5 years of working experience in C&S design (a strong focus on water infrastructure, hydraulic, and hydrologic design is highly advantageous).
• iv. Proficient in operating various C&S engineering design software as well as hydraulic/hydrologic simulation software.
• vi. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• iii. Proficient in operating various C&S engineering design software as well as hydraulic/hydrologic simulation software.
• vi. Possess own transport and be willing to travel outstation when required.
