Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design, develop, and enhance two-way radio software in C/C++ for embedded systems.

You will participate in the full SDLC, collaborate with front-end architects, hardware, and test engineers, write clean code, run unit and integration tests, and help monitor KPIs in an agile, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2–5 years of software development experience; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Strong C/C++ skills and understanding of OOP.
• Embedded systems knowledge and MCU operation.
• RTOS experience a plus; Agile/Scrum exposure beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software features for two-way radios.
• Participate in full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Analyze requirements for feasibility, quality, performance, cost.
• Collaborate with front-end architects, hardware, and test engineers.
• Write clean, well-documented C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Conduct design and code reviews; ensure maintainability.
• Develop unit, integration, and system tests; debug issues.
• Collect data to monitor KPIs; deliver on time within budget.
• Work in a collaborative, multi-site, agile environment.
