Job summary

Sapphire Stream Technology in Bayan Lepas, Penang, invites an experienced Embedded Linux Software Developer to design and implement middleware, drivers, and features for two-way radio devices. You will contribute to full SDLC, bring-up hardware, and ensure robust, testable code in embedded environments.

The role requires 3–7 years in embedded software, strong C/C++, RTOS experience, and hands-on hardware/software integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 3–7 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and RTOS.
• Experience with BSP, bootloaders, device drivers, device tree, memory management, and hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, and UART communication protocols.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Knowledge of LTE/DMR technologies is an advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
