Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to source materials, manage POs, and coordinate with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Warehouse teams in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive supplier performance, support NPI sourcing, and ensure ISO/compliance while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in SCM and extensive ERP experience, with strong negotiation and analytical skills to optimize costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
• 24 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in electronics or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Familiar with electronic components, mechanical parts, and sourcing practices.
• Good negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with procurement tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and procurement compliance standards is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, components, and parts to support production needs.
• Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Monitor and ensure timely delivery of materials; expedite when necessary.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Warehouse teams.
• Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers based on performance and cost-efficiency.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by sourcing prototype and pre-production parts.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP/MRP systems.
• Drive cost reduction and alternative sourcing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO, and quality standards.
• Resolve supplier issues, invoice discrepancies, and delivery problems.
