Job summary

Tecan CDMO Solutions PN Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an experienced electrical/electronic hardware engineer to lead the full product development lifecycle for laboratory instruments and automated systems.

You will design embedded and control systems, develop hardware architectures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, while using Altium Designer and Python/C++/Lua. The ideal candidate has 4–8+ years of hands-on experience and strong EMC knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in instrument, module or electronic product development.
• Experience in laboratory automation or laboratory instrumentation is highly desirable.
• Fluent/good working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and electronic design for laboratory instruments and automated systems.
• Develop system concepts, hardware architectures and detailed designs.
• Design and integrate embedded systems, control systems and sensors.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve hardware and system level issues.
• Develop technical specifications, reports and engineering documentation.
• Support design-to-cost and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions.
• Present technical concepts and solutions to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout product development.
